This triptych is made from chipboard, collaged with vintage style papers and images. There are several 3D items including snaps, a beaded applique (right upper), and a row of fiber trim consisting of roses and leaves. The front door is a Paperwhimsy image which I love. I have added the measuring tape as sort of a doorstep, if you will.
My sister owns a sewing machine shop, COMPUSEW, in Plano, Texas. She is extremely talented and knowledgeable in machine embroidery as well as in all types of sewing, has been in the field for about 30 years. Long, long ago, she used to sew costumes for stage performers and I remember her making her husband a reptile jacket! Talent abound for sure. This triptych, although made for a swap, is dedicated to my sister, Carol, the best darn sewing person I've ever met!
